Syria signed the strategic framework document with the United Nations organizations for the years 2022-2024.
The document was signed by Dr. Fadi Salti Al-Khalil, head of the Planning and International Cooperation Authority, and for the United Nations, by Imran Rida, the resident coordinator for the activities of the United Nations in Syria, in the presence of Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and a number of representatives of the concerned authorities and United Nations organizations operating in Syria, according to what was published by the authority On her official Facebook page today.
During the signing of the document at the commission’s building, Dr. Al-Khalil stressed the need to achieve coherence between the goals of the National Development Program for Syria after the war, which constitutes the National Development Strategy for Syria 2030, and the goals of the sustainable development plan set by the United Nations.
Dr. Al-Khalil pointed to the importance of continuing the relief work and providing humanitarian assistance in addition to development work to achieve sustainable recovery, explaining that the signing of the document constitutes the beginning of serious work aimed at achieving the goals set by the government, which would secure the living and development aspirations of the Syrian people.
