Bad Tölz – The first Tölz games day recently took place in the Franziskanergarten.

The initiators, organizers and cooperation partners were very satisfied with the response of the citizens to the event.

It must have been around 300 visitors who came to the Tölz Franziskanergarten in the afternoon to take part in the first Tölz games day.

There they could try out new and well-known board and movement games.

But you can also enjoy hot dogs and crêpes from Café Miteinand.

Finally, the raffle for the prizes, which Vice Mayor Michael Lindmair had taken on, was followed with excitement.

A follow-up meeting of the organizers will also discuss whether there will be a repeat of the event.

“For the organizers, the response was overwhelming,” reports Falko Wiesenhütter, the city manager.

Therefore, it is considered "whether there should be a repetition".

Part of the “Playable City” project

Background to the game day: The campaign is part of the "Playable City" project, which is primarily intended to encourage families, children and young people to use sports and leisure facilities, public areas and also the numerous parks in the city area for outdoor games and fun to use.

Behind the event in the Franziskanergarten is a whole team of active people: In addition to the employees of the Tölz youth development, there are volunteers, clubs and other institutions.

Among others, the Skatclub Gesellige Runde as well as the Schachfreunde Bad Tölz and the Pokémon players’ club contributed to the wide range of games on offer.

In addition, the BRK multi-generation house and the regional open work for the disabled of the Lebenshilfe were there.

The Sparkasse Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen sponsored the prizes.

The idea generator, Sebastian Englich, was represented with two self-made games: a giant don't worry yourself and a life-size Monopoly.
