Sulzemoos – The mayor of Sulzemoos, Johannes Kneidl, has kept a promise he made at the last town hall meeting: As part of the “Mayor on site” series of events, he visited the four parts of the municipality and invited all the townsfolk to personal talks in a relaxed atmosphere.

He gave a report on the situation at the last council meeting.

Orthofen: bench at the maypole

Within a few days, the municipality was able to accommodate the request expressed in Orthofen for a bench by the maypole.

The citizens there criticized the condition of a road where the verge has extended and an overflowing rainwater shaft.

"That will be inspected by the building yard employees," promised Kneidl.

However, the renewal of a traffic mirror in a side street is not possible because it was installed privately.

Einsbach: Consulting for photovoltaic systems

In Einsbach, citizens have suggested energy advice for photovoltaic systems on private house roofs.

"I am already in contact with Gottfried Obermaier, the chairman of the Energy Transition Association Ziel 21 from the district of Fürstenfeldbruck," said Kneidl.

However, the consultations could only start in the autumn.

On-site visits should also be possible in order to deal with a specific situation.

The desire for lockable bicycle boxes at the Park & Ride area on the A8 was also expressed.

"I think that's a good suggestion worth considering," said the mayor.

Initially, however, charging stations for electric vehicles are to be set up in the parking lot.

The placement of the bicycle boxes will then be checked.

The long-running issue of “speeding” was also picked up by the citizens.

The municipality will set up speed displays on Windener Strasse in Einsbach and St.-Helena-Strasse in Orthofen to raise awareness of this issue among road users.

"I am also in contact with the police so that there is a flash in Windener Straße because there is a children's home there," informed Johannes Kneidl.

Sulzemoos: Green area should be mowed

In Sulzemoos, a request had been made for the municipality to create a green space on the corner of Dr.

Baumgartner Straße/Hauptstraße mows.

"It looks like private property.

But we are checking that, and if it belongs to the community, we will of course mow it," said Kneidl.

Wiedenzhausen: Guide for Defis

In the Wiedenzhausen district, citizens had complained about the poor condition of the Frühlingsstrasse and Lerchenstrasse.

“Some places are actually in bad shape there.

We'll add that to our list," explained Kneidl.

The next measure, however, is the Römerstraße in Einsbach with regard to the road surface and lighting.

The community leader wants to take up the suggestion to set up signposts for the publicly accessible defibrillators in all districts.

"The signs are ordered," said Kneidl.

It is a bit more difficult with two other points of criticism from Wiedenzhausen.

As part of the village renewal in 2011, the Rohrbach adjacent to the kindergarten was designed in a natural way and, with two entrances, offered the opportunity to include the water in the game.

“Meanwhile, the entrance is completely overgrown with trees.

That's not nice and not usable according to the ideas from back then," explained Kneidl.

The situation can no longer be brought under control with free cutting.

"It would have to be completely redone, and then the gaps between the stone steps would have to be closed this time." In this case, however, it could happen that part of the subsidy for the village renewal has to be repaid, since the funds are earmarked for many years .

"It's a stupid situation," says Johannes Kneidl.

He agreed with the councils that they would take a look at the situation on site and then decide how to proceed.

It was further criticized that the cemetery fence on Rohrbachstraße and the new part of the cemetery were no longer visually acceptable.

A proposal was made to redo the fence and plant trees in the lawn.

The head of the town hall did not share this view: “The appearance of the fence is in the eye of the beholder.

We will of course carry out repairs.

And it makes no sense to plant trees in the new cemetery now if they may have to go again later when new plans are made.”

Christian Huber suggested creating a flowering meadow in the new cemetery.

"The area would be predestined for this," says Huber.

Here, too, the councils decided to discuss the further procedure at an on-site meeting.

One thing is clear for Johannes Kneidl: "The exchange was great and, from my point of view, a success.

I would like to keep these dates in biannual alternation with the general assembly in the Sulzemoos gymnasium.”
