The Minister of the Interior, Ayelet Shaked, participated in a special tour of the Galilee and announced the plan to strengthen Jewish settlement in the Galilee.

In an attempt to end his term with a line of travelers to America, Shaked calls on the Likud to cooperate with the government and pass the laws necessary to obtain an exemption from issuing visas to Israelis.

During a special tour with the Lev HaGalil Forum, the Minister of the Interior, Ayelet Shaked, referred to the recent contacts between the government and the opposition regarding a series of laws that must be passed by the end of the session.

"Calls on the Likud to remove the veto they imposed on the laws we need to get the visa waiver to the United States. We are on a very accelerated path with the US administration at the end of which Israelis will no longer have to stand in line at the embassy. So I call on the Likud - let us complete the legislation."

Minister Shaked demands: "Let us complete the enactment of visas"

The minister also referred to the dissolution of the government and shared her feelings: "This is a very sad event, we should not have reached a fifth election so early, it is a huge damage to the country and I am sorry that no solution was found to the political tangle. I at least did everything I could."

During the tour, Minister Shaked announced her intention to lead the "Heart of the Galilee" program to strengthen Jewish settlement in the Galilee through a change in planning and land policy.

The goal of the plan is to add about 200,000 new settlers to the heart of the Galilee within a decade, strengthen the Jewish presence in the area and prevent it from becoming the "Israeli Donbas region."

'When I took the job, I discovered that there were a lot of barriers.

The planning director looked at a narrow angle of planning policy, but the planning should serve the whole of life in the area, the minister explained.

If you get frustrated through the hole of the divorce it does not necessarily pay off, but if you look at the Zionist vision it certainly pays off.

"In the Galilee, the challenge is to thicken and increase the existing localities, there is some discrimination against the Jewish localities over the years and it has to be said. We have already passed a decision to open Table 2, this decision means that in this area, we increase the number of families by 50%. "Apartments for small apartments so that communities can grow significantly. In addition, we make it possible to plan sheltered housing projects."

As you may recall, about two months ago, an "Israel Today" investigation was published in which the heads of Galilee councils warned that the governments' planning and construction policies could lead to the loss of Israel's legitimacy in the region.

They even argued for a powerful cultivation and strengthening policy for the Arab sector on the one hand, and the "suffocation of the Jewish settlement" on the other.

The conference was attended by Shilo Forum Chairman, Adv. Benzi Lieberman, Misgav Council Chairman, Danny Ivri, Carmiel Mayor, Moshe Koninsky, Jezreel Valley Council Chairman, Eyal Betzer, Merom Galil Council Chairman, Amit Sofer, Deputy Chairman of the Lower Galilee Regional Council , Ofir Shir, and Chairman of the Galilee Heart Security Forum, Maj. Gen. (Res.) Israel Ziv.
