The Governor of Idlib, Thaer Salhab, discussed with the Executive Director of the Regional Office of the Danish Refugee Council in the Middle East “Lilo Tapa” and the accompanying delegation the joint projects that were implemented in cooperation between Idlib Governorate and the Danish Council and which are planned to be implemented in the liberated Idlib countryside during the coming period, according to humanitarian needs.

During the meeting, the governor of Idlib indicated that all areas of Idlib liberated from terrorism are in need of projects to rehabilitate infrastructure and establish temporary residence centers in addition to sustainable projects for returnees, especially with the return of many people in light of the basic requirements of life provided by government agencies, pointing to the need to provide more From the support of international organizations in this regard.

For his part, Tapa expressed the council's desire to implement a number of development projects that would help the returning families in their livelihood during the coming period, in pursuit of the full implementation of international humanitarian principles.

The meeting was attended by the Director of Syria Office Programs for the Danish Council, Fairouz Sahi, and a number of stakeholders in Idlib Governorate.
