The authorities of the Lugansk People's Republic announced that the Ukrainian forces present in the city of Lyschansk had received an order to withdraw from it.
"According to the information available on reconnaissance in our forces, a belated order was issued for the retreat of the group of Ukrainian forces located in Lysechansk," said Lieutenant-Colonel Andrei Maruchko, according to the RIA Novosti news agency.
Maruchko indicated that most of the withdrawal routes of Ukrainian forces from Lysechansk city have been cordoned off, explaining that the People's Forces of the Republic and units of the Russian army are now controlling most of the routes through which the Ukrainian forces plan to withdraw from the city.
