22 new “small and medium” industrial and craft establishments entered the labor market in As-Suwayda Governorate during the first half of this year, with a capital of 871 million Syrian pounds.
Director of As-Suwayda Industry, Dr. Eng. Shatha Shukair, told SANA reporter that the establishments that entered the labor market provide 47 job opportunities and include various food and chemical sectors, distributed as 6 industrial facilities and 16 craft facilities.
Choucair explained that during the same period, three industrial facilities were licensed in accordance with Law 21 to start implementation, with a capital that exceeded 283 million pounds.
The total number of industrial and craft establishments operating in As-Suwayda governorate by the end of last year reached 4,889 establishments with a capital of 12 billion and 593 million and 738 thousand Syrian pounds, providing 10,623 job opportunities.
