The Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Bashar Shaddoud, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the seizures affected five petrol stations, three of them for violations of the disposal of diesel and reserve gasoline and trading in gasoline and the shortage of the quantity in the station, and two stations in Baniyas for violations of disposal and trading in gasoline outside the electronic card system, a shortage of quantity and a fine for them In the amount of about 49 million Syrian pounds.

Shadod explained that the arrests also affected two bakeries, the first in Sheikh Badr, for violating the times of kneading, and the second in Safita, for violating the lack of weight of bundles of bread, and for five bread agents in Safita, Banias, and Drakeish, for violating the electronic card system and selling from outside it with the intention of trading in ration bread and not announcing the price of the bundle of bread. Selling at an additional price for the food ration and fined them more than 4 million Syrian pounds.

He pointed out that 4 gas stations were closed for a period of 90 days, in violation of the shortage of fuel and the disposal of the strategic reserve of diesel, in addition to the suspension of a diesel tank for a period of 15 days, in violation of the shortage of diesel fuel.

Shadoud pointed out that the arrests also affected 7 stores with violations of possession of expired materials of unknown origin, duplication of production and validity dates, and the absence of a specification card, in addition to seizing a vehicle distributing health materials with a violation of not keeping a bill of exchange, and controlling a plastic injection facility with a violation of not submitting a cost statement for the products, pointing out that The rest of the violations varied between not declaring wages instead of services, possessing purchase invoices and declaring prices, in addition to seizing food and non-food samples for study and necessary analyzes to ensure their suitability for human consumption and their conformity with Syrian standard specifications.
