Bengal cat "Tigger" has been missing from Unterbiberg for weeks.

In their distress, its owners now resorted to unusual means and used a search dog.

Unterbiberg

– Again and again Nicole Trapana from Unterbiberg pulls out photos of her beloved cat, wistfully watches a video of him: “Tigger”, how he frolics around exuberantly or how he sleeps soundly on his scratching post.

And: "Tigger" with cat friend "Burny" comfortably on the warm radiator.

“Where can he be?” his mistress asks himself.

The uncertainty plagues her.

"Tigger's" family has been doing everything they can to find their little darling since he disappeared from the scene a few weeks ago.

Even a specially trained search dog was used.

Without success.

Didn't come back that night

It was May Day.

At 7 p.m. the world was still fine for Nicole Trapana.

At the time, the cat was in his family's garden.

He was last seen by a neighbor between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.

As so often, "Tigger" had visited him in his apartment to pick up a few cuddles.

Then he disappeared.

"Something's wrong," thought Nicole Trapana when she woke up the next morning.

Usually "Tigger" always comes home between 1 and 2 in the morning to eat something.

He announces himself loudly every time.

But not this time.

After no one in the immediate vicinity knew anything about his whereabouts, she immediately started a search operation.

Even the cat lover mourns

Not only the family misses their four-legged friend, but also the neighbors, with whom the extraordinarily beautiful Bengal cat liked to take a nap during the day: "We all took him to our hearts because he is such a real charmer." Who misses him the most , his sidekick is "Burny".

The 17-year-old cat grandpa with kidney disease no longer likes to get off the sofa.

Nevertheless, he got out on his paws to look for his "Tigger" in the underground car park.

Then he shuffled home sadly with his head hanging down.

The fact that "Tigger" was accidentally locked up, for example in a basement or an underground car park, is ruled out by his owners: "He can scream very loudly.

That would attract attention.” They distributed numerous flyers, informed animal shelters and the police, placed advertisements and tried it on Facebook.

The pet registers Tasso and Findefix have been informed.

In fact, a few sightings were received from Neubiberg, Unterbiberg and Unterhaching.

But it was never "Tigger".

Search dog picks up the scent

That was the point at which a search dog was used: the very experienced Labrador dog "Marshell" at the age of seven.

His dog handler Uta Heiss from the K9 Pro animal search squadron (see interview) reports: "We found a trail that got lost in the parking lot of the Seebauer nursery." The nursery is part of the tomcat's territory, where he stopped by every day.

Jumped into a truck unnoticed?

The suspicion arises that, given his fondness for jumping into other people's cars, he may have gone unnoticed in one of the delivery trucks.

In fact, a few kilometers further, search dog "Marshell" again indicated a trail, again in a parking lot.

This time in front of the Seebauer shop on Ottobrunner Strasse in Munich's Ramersdorf-Perlach district.

But no one has seen "Tigger" here.

There's a chance he scurried into the parking garage and jumped right back into another car.

To stay positive, Nicole Trapana often reads stories about cats that have returned home, even after many years.

"If only I knew if he was okay," she says.

The whole family hopes for one day when the long-awaited call comes that their "Tigger" has been found: "Then we'll do 50 air jumps!"

Notes and contact

Anyone who has seen "Tigger" or even taken it with them is asked to contact Nicole Trapana on Tel. 0179/4 87 85 02. The castrated, outdoor tomcat "Tigger" is four years old and larger than a typical house cat.

He has reddish-brown fur with dark spots.

The back and flanks are mottled, the white breast is striped, and the belly is white with dark spots.

The snout is also white.

Triangular face, green eyes, big ears.

He is curious and trusting, likes to inspect other people's apartments, cars, basement rooms and underground garages.

He doesn't wear a collar, doesn't have a tattoo, but has a chip on his left shoulder.
