As of last night (4th), there were still long queues at Qingmao Port, and the scene was chaotic. Some locals described it as a "great migration".

Macau authorities announced that on the first day of customs clearance, a total of 39,600 people entered and exited from various ports, of which the largest number of people leaving the country was mainland employees, accounting for about 19,100 people, a surge of 595.4 times compared with the previous day.

Due to the closure of Gongbei Port, a large number of people pass through Qingmao Port

After the city has been closed for many days, customs clearance with the mainland can be resumed, and there have been crowds at the Macau port in the past two days.

Since Gongbei Port, the most commonly used port between Macau and the Mainland, was temporarily closed due to fire protection renovation works, local residents could only pass through the nearby Qingmao Port until it was restored earlier.

However, after 6 p.m. last night, there were still a large number of people crossing the border at Qingmao Port. The crowd started from Qingzhoufang Building and went back to CEM through Qingzhou Road to the ground floor of Qingmao Port.

The authorities need to implement crowd control measures, and whenever the police release it, the situation is like a "great migration".

According to a report by the Macau media "Australian Broadcasting Corporation", the scene was chaotic and there was a scramble for each other, and even pedestrians tripped over their suitcases.
