The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to take urgent action to stop the continuous brutal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
In a statement today, carried by Wafa Agency, the Foreign Ministry pointed out that silence about the crimes of the occupation constitutes a cover and protects it from accountability and encourages it to escape punishment, noting that this heinous aggression reveals the reality of the racist aggressive trend against the Palestinians in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The escalating Israeli aggression against the people of the besieged Gaza Strip has so far resulted in the death of 13 Palestinians, including a girl, and the wounding of about 114, in addition to severe damage to infrastructure and Palestinian property, and the burning of a number of houses.
The Foreign Ministry considered that the insistence of the international community on ignoring the crimes of the occupation and its violations committed daily against the Palestinian people, which amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity, pushes it to persist in them, calling on it to implement its relevant decisions to provide international protection for the Palestinian people and enable them to have the right to self-determination and the embodiment of their independent state. Its capital is Jerusalem.
