The Activities Hall of Dar Al-Assad for Culture in Lattakia hosted a signing ceremony for freelance writer Ghazal for his first novel, “Filled a Void” in the presence of a number of writers and interested people.

The novel monitors the transformations of the city of Latakia and its countryside under the weight of war through a group of human relations that link its characters within a new narrative form that the writer called “After the Novel” in which he combined the short story, the very short story and the cinematic film and presented a new form in the background stories with an elaborate and transparent linguistic cast that attracts the reader .

Ghazal, the owner of the two story collections “Fatih al-Mutawil and the Last of the Foam” and many articles and studies, believes that the novel came with the maturity of the story experience and the completion of the narrative experience and the writer’s statement that the story does not fit into the story.

In the critical reading of the novelist’s work, the writer and critic Nazir Jaafar considered that the novel “Filled a Void” brought together humanity, heroism and love.

He explained that it is a contemporary novel that began with the war and continues to this day to monitor the heroic aspect and human relations of its multiple characters within the framework of its temporal and spatial space and the aesthetics of artistic expression. And the names of the characters.

The novel, published by Dar Al-Farqad for Publishing and Distribution, is divided into five chapters and 239 pages of medium volume.
