A user on the social network Facebook published a video claiming that China is preparing a nuclear attack from space against the United States.
In his publication, he accused the Asian country of launching an X-37B robotic plane with atomic capabilities towards New York.

The post was flagged as part of Facebook's effort to combat fake news and misinformation on its platform.
An internet search for the space plane leads to several articles about an August 4 launch from China's Jinquan satellite center.
According to the Reuters news agency, the ship is used to test reusable space technology for future missions.

The Chinese regime published a statement on August 5 confirming the launch of the experimental aircraft as part of a "peaceful" use of space.
A SpaceNews article explained that the plane will spend a period in orbit and then land in China.

According to the website of Notify NYC, an electronic notification system created by New York City's security management agency,
there is no evidence that the city is on red alert for a nuclear attack
.
That city's public security agency released a video on July 11 detailing what citizens should do in the event of a nuclear attack.
In a press release it is detailed that the possibility of New York being attacked by nuclear weapons is low, but it seeks a better response to that possibility.
