The Director of Buildings, Yu Po-mei, pointed out that there are about 30,000 legal signboards in Hong Kong, and nearly 1,700 dangerous or abandoned illegal signboards will be removed this year, including 570 in Sham Shui Po alone, and the removal is expected to be completed by October this year.
