One heat wave follows the next in Bavaria.

In the north in particular, the drought continues and causes sinking river levels, a high risk of forest fires and drought.

The first districts have already reacted with bans, Nuremberg waters its trees with swimming pool water.

For the time being it will remain hot, and record temperatures could be reached again.

The city of Kitzingen holds the all-time heat record of the Free State, with 40.3 degrees (set in July 2015).

But the heat will be over for the weekend.

A change in the weather is imminent for Bavaria and brings the long-awaited rain.

The people of Munich in particular have to be prepared for a change in the weather.

Wednesday (August 17) will be really hot again, the German Weather Service (DWD) predicts temperatures of up to 34 degrees.

On Thursday (August 18) it will still be quite warm, in Upper Franconia and the Upper Palatinate even with values ​​over 30 degrees.

At the edge of the Alps, the change in the weather is already arriving, with temperatures dropping to 23 to 25 degrees.

"On Friday there will be a temperature drop in the south with heavy rain," says the weather forecast.
