The heat wave is followed by a drop in temperature in Bavaria: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and storms are coming

Bayern are currently suffering from another heat wave.
Temperatures will rise above 30 degrees on Wednesday – then the weather will change.
Munich -
One heat wave follows the next in Bavaria.
In the north in particular, the drought continues and causes sinking river levels, a high risk of forest fires and drought.
The first districts have already reacted with bans, Nuremberg waters its trees with swimming pool water.
For the time being it will remain hot, and record temperatures could be reached again.
The city of Kitzingen holds the all-time heat record of the Free State, with 40.3 degrees (set in July 2015).
But the heat will be over for the weekend.
A change in the weather is imminent for Bavaria and brings the long-awaited rain.
The people of Munich in particular have to be prepared for a change in the weather.

Wednesday (August 17) will be really hot again, the German Weather Service (DWD) predicts temperatures of up to 34 degrees.
It's not just in dry northern Bavaria that temperatures climb above the 30-degree mark, Bavarians are also sweating in the south.

predicts highs of 32 degrees for Munich, 31 degrees for Augsburg and 32 degrees for Landshut.
After the heat wave, a low hits Bavaria, bringing thunderstorms and a drop in temperature with it.
It hits Munich in particular.

On Thursday (August 18) it will still be quite warm, in Upper Franconia and the Upper Palatinate even with values over 30 degrees.
At the edge of the Alps, the change in the weather is already arriving, with temperatures dropping to 23 to 25 degrees.
"On Friday there will be a temperature drop in the south with heavy rain," says the weather forecast.
But the rain showers are not only hitting the south.

A low brings a lot of precipitation to the Free State, and storms are also possible locally.
The people of Munich in particular have to cope with a sharp difference in temperature.

Compared to Wednesday with 32 degrees, a difference of 14 degrees.
It is also getting cooler in other regions.

The low not only lowers the temperatures in Bavaria, but also brings a lot of rain and thunderstorms with it.
The DWD predicts "strong thunderstorms" with heavy rain for Thursday and Friday.

even speaks of heavy "continuous rain" that settles in southern Bavaria.
So it seems to stay wet for the weekend as well.
