The members of the National Histadrut this morning (Thursday) at the 21st annual meeting of the National Histadrut elected Yoav Shamchi as the Chairman of the National Histadrut and thus Shamchi will continue for another term.

In recent years, Shamchi leads the National Organization for Achievements for the benefit of the hundreds of thousands of workers in Israel.

Recently, the Histadrut led significant victories for the IDF disabled escorts, a collective agreement for yes employees, a collective agreement at Ariel University as well as a historic agreement according to which the tens of thousands of bus drivers unionized in the National Histadrut will receive a significant upgrade in their wages and terms of employment.
