Gusts of wind and continuous rain: weather warnings for all of Bavaria – Munich is also affected

There is a weather warning for Munich on the second day of the Oktoberfest.
It gets even more uncomfortable south of the state capital.
Munich – At the start of the Wiesn on Saturday (September 17) it was cold and wet at first, then the sun came out before it finally rained heavily again.
There are already weather warnings from the German Weather Service (DWD) for Sunday.
At the edge of the Alps, for example, there is an official warning of gusts of wind until Monday at 9 a.m.
Above 1500 meters there are gusts of wind with speeds between 70 km/h and 85 km/h.
In exposed locations, heavy gusts of wind up to 100 km/h must be expected, according to the DWD.

Gusts of wind and continuous rain in Bavaria: the weather is becoming uncomfortable
In addition to gusts of wind, there are also warnings of continuous rain in the districts and cities mentioned on Sunday until 12 noon.
Wind gusts and continuous rain also threaten in Lindau and in the Weilheim-Schongau district.
Light snowfall is also possible on the edge of the Alps.
Orange alert (warning of gusts of wind) also applies in eastern Bavaria: the districts of Cham, Regen, Freyung-Grafenau, Deggendorf and the district of Straubing-Bogen and the city of Straubing
are affected .
There are weather warnings for almost all of Bavaria.

There is also an official weather warning for Munich, where day 2 of the Oktoberfest is taking place today: between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. there is a risk of gusts of wind with speeds of around 60 km/h.
The rest of the Free State is also affected by this weather warning, but there is no warning for the following regions:
Neu-Ulm, Günzburg, Neuburg-Schrobenhausen and the cities of Ingolstadt and Memmingen.
