Personal data of around 50,000 customers and prospects of the online bank Revolut were stolen during a cyberattack on the night of Sunday, September 11, the London-based neobank told AFP on Thursday.

Revolut recently suffered a highly targeted cyberattack.
An unauthorized entity was able to access the data of a small percentage (0.16%) of our customers for a short period of time
,” the company wrote in a statement.
The problem was "
quickly identified
", completes a spokeswoman joined by AFP, in order to limit the number of people affected: it is around 50,000, current customers and in the process of being acquired.
Data theft involves personal information: identity, phone numbers, email addresses.
No password, credit card number or personal code has leaked, ensures the neobank.

Our customers' money is safe, as it always has been
," she said in the statement.

The customers concerned have been informed and asked to be vigilant about any fishing attempts in the days or weeks to come.
Launched in 2015 in the UK, Revolut boasts over 20 million customers worldwide.
Present in 36 countries, it is valued at $33 billion.
