As part of the “My Most Beautiful City” initiative, civil society activities in Hama, in cooperation with the General Secretariat of Hama Governorate and its city council, implemented an initiative to beautify and rehabilitate the western entrance, and the customs roundabout yard and lighting it to show it in the best way.
The head of the city council, Muawiya Jarjanazi, said in a statement to SANA reporter that this initiative comes as a continuation of a previous initiative that started with beautifying the city’s southern entrance at the stone water fountain, passing through the main roundabouts, the National Hospital highway, El Alamein Street, and Al-Assi Square, and even the northern entrance at the Sebahi roundabout with a length of 4 kilometers. With the aim of improving the aesthetic appearance of the city and lighting it in the evening with energy-saving devices.
Jarjanazi added that the council provided workshops to carry out excavation work, erecting light poles, and installing LED lighting devices, as well as carrying out cleaning campaigns for the main square of the customs roundabout, and removing accumulated rubble and debris, noting the efforts made by the volunteers and the enthusiasm they showed in this field.
In turn, Dr. Ammar El-Gamal indicated that the civil society activities organizing this initiative include the maintenance and rehabilitation of the bisects, sidewalks, and roundabouts, the planting of green areas with about 300 plants of various types of trees, the pruning and calcination of trees, as well as the installation of hanging plant pots to beautify the streets in a way that achieves a special touch for the city. show its distinction.
He pointed out that the initiative will continue to include the eastern entrance to the city on the peaceful Hama highway, in addition to the southern, northern and western entrances to contribute to the night lighting.
