Peskov: The channels of communication with Washington are open, but intermittent

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that there are open channels of communication between Russia and the United States, but they are very intermittent, and they allow the transmission of emergency messages between the two sides.

And the Russia Today website quoted Peskov as telling reporters today: “At the appropriate level there are channels for dialogue and communication, which are of a very intermittent nature ... but they allow at least some emergency messages about the position of each side to be transmitted to the other.”

Earlier, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said: The United States maintains opportunities to have direct contacts with the Russian leadership and is actively using them, including in the past few days.

In addition, Peskov announced the identification of the criminal who opened fire on the Izhevsk school this morning, noting that he was a member of a group of neo-Nazis.

Peskov explained that Russian President Vladimir Putin gave all necessary instructions to all regional and federal authorities to resolve all issues related to this incident, as he had telephone conversations with President of the Republic of Udmurtia Alexander Prychalov, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko and Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov, Where the latter has already gone to Izhevsk.

Investigators of the Russian Investigative Committee had established the identity of the criminal who opened fire at the school in the city of Izhevsk, killing 13 people and wounding others. He is a graduate of this school.

Regarding the announcement of partial mobilization in Russia, Peskov said that there are cases of violations during the partial mobilization, adding: “There are cases of violations of the decree and the heads of some regions are actively working to correct these cases... Russian journalists and representatives of social organizations are doing vital and necessary work and this It is very important.”

President Putin announced a few days ago a partial mobilization in Russia, where about 300,000 people will be called up to serve in the army.
