"Ineligible": The election committee disqualified Shikli's Likud candidacy

The chairman of the Central Elections Committee, Judge Yitzhak Amit, rejected the candidacy of a member of the retiring Yamina, who was supposed to join the Likud. On the other hand, the candidacy of Eidit Silman was confirmed. The Likud on the disqualification: "An absurd decision, this is a serious damage to democracy - we will appeal to the Supreme Court"

The chairman of the Central Elections Committee, Judge Yitzhak Amit, this evening (Wednesday) rejected the candidacy of Amichai Shikli on the Likud list. On the other hand, the committee approved the candidacy of Idit Silman in the party. The Likud stated: "This absurd decision is a serious violation of democracy - we will appeal to the Supreme ".
