To solve the problem of traffic congestion caused by illegal parking, the Transport Department and the Police are trialling an automatic traffic enforcement system in Central and Kwun Tong.

Yan Wenyu suggested that the use of the system should be expanded after the trial is completed to achieve real enforcement and combat effectiveness: "The system is only installed on Hoi Hoi Road, but other places in Kwun Tong, such as How Ming Street and the business district, are not installed. There will be no improvement. The entire Kwun Tong district should be added, otherwise the vehicles illegally parked on Hoi Hoi Road will be diverted to other districts." He hopes that the government can completely solve the external factors that may affect the recording, such as vehicle height, weather conditions, camera clarity, etc., before the official use of the system, so as to ensure that illegal vehicles can be recorded and enforced.
Many members of the public are worried that the system may infringe on personal privacy. Ngan Man-yu, who is also a Legislative Council member himself, suggested that the Transport Department give a detailed explanation to the public, and even provide a simulated data display map to let the public know that the system only collects the appearance of vehicles, Information such as license plates will not be photographed for non-law enforcement purposes.
