The activities of the second day of the third international Tishreen trail race were concluded, with the participation of cyclists from Iraq, Egypt, Palestine and Algeria, in addition to Syria.
In the women's individual stage competitions for a distance of 45 km, the player of the Algerian national team, Nisreen Houili, won the first place, followed by Marah Khedir of the Syrian team (B), and then the Algerian Khadija Ori.
In the individual stage competitions for men over a distance of 85 km, Hamza Ammari from Algeria won the first place, followed by Youssef Srouji from the Syrian team (A), then the Algerian Ayoub Sehiri.
The winners were crowned in the presence of the Minister of Tourism, Eng. Muhammad Rami Radwan Martini, the Vice President of the General Sports Federation Omar Al-Aroub, the member of the Executive Office of the General Sports Federation Ayman Ahmed, the Chairman of the Executive Committee in Latakia Bassam Zarawand, and the head and members of the Cycling Federation.
It is noteworthy that the course of the race started from Sheikh Daher Square in the direction of Aleppo Highway, up to the Mukhtaria and Salma bridges, and back to the Mukhtaria Bridge, and from there to Al-Haffah and Salnafeh for a distance of 85 km, while the singles stage for females started from Mukhtaria Bridge to Salma Bridge, and back to the beginning of Latakia-Aleppo Highway for a distance of 45 km.
Tomorrow, the activities of the race will continue, as the individual stage for females starts in front of the Lamira Hotel in the direction of Ras Shamra, Al-Qasr Al-Shabatiyah Road, Lattakia Kassab Highway, for a distance of 65 km, and for males on the same axis, for a distance of 85 km.
