Justine Vayrac case: the young woman was buried in Tauriac

About 300 people were present at the religious ceremony for this young woman found dead after an evening in a nightclub in Brive.


Justine Vayrac, found dead after having disappeared at the end of October at the exit of a nightclub in Brive, was buried in the intimacy on Friday November 4 in the morning in Tauriac, in the Lot, where she lived with her family.

Traffic in the village had been prohibited and a filtering system set up by the gendarmes at the request of the family to ensure the tranquility of the funeral.

Before the burial at the Tauriac cemetery, around 300 people were present at the time of the religious ceremony, according to the gendarmerie, many of whom gathered outside the church.

Justine Vayrac, 20, mother of a two-and-a-half-year-old child, disappeared on the night of Sunday October 23, around 4 a.m., after leaving the “La Charette” nightclub in Brive, where she spent the evening with friends.

According to them, she felt bad during the evening and decided to go to sleep in her car.

Accompanied by a friend, she would then have met an "

acquaintance

" and would have stayed with him.

The body “buried” using an “agricultural machine”

The man, a 21-year-old farmer from the town of Beynat, 15 km from Brive, confessed at the end of his police custody "to

have killed the victim when they were both at his home and 'they had just had consensual sex

,' the prosecution said.

He told investigators that he "

punched him, which would have caused his death

" and used an "

agricultural machine

" to "

bury the body

" in the forest.

Indicted for rape, kidnapping and murder, the young man was imprisoned.

The autopsy of the victim's body showed that she had been strangled to death and analyzes are underway to determine if she was drugged.

A white march will be organized Sunday at 2 p.m. in honor of Justine Vayrac in Saint-Céré, a village near Tauriac.
