A Mercedes came off the road near Bad Tölz on Friday night and was thrown through the air.

Five people were injured.

Bad Tölz – On the night of Saturday, a serious accident occurred not far from Bad Tölz on the B13.

A Mercedes went off the road and shot across an adjacent meadow.

Five people were in the car and were injured, some seriously.

Rescue helicopters had to take the injured to nearby hospitals.

A large contingent of helpers was on site.

Serious accident on the B13: Mercedes comes off the road

The accident happened around 9 p.m., police said.

A black Mercedes from the Miesbach district was coming from Sachsenkam on the B13 towards Bad Tölz.

At that time it was raining and the road was wet.

It was initially unclear whether the car left the roadway as a result.

In any case, he left the road on the right-hand side and drove about 100 meters across an adjacent meadow.

Probably lifted by an embankment or a mound of earth, the car was catapulted a few meters through the air.

The Mercedes was then completely destroyed.

Numerous rescue workers made their way - in the end there were said to be around 120 helpers from the fire brigade, rescue service, police and mountain rescue service.

They had to free four of the five occupants from the destroyed car, using heavy equipment.

Four of the passengers were seriously injured in the accident.

Two rescue helicopters were also ordered to rescue them.

They took the injured to nearby hospitals.

A police helicopter was also on site to record the accident.
