An exhibition of fine art, a poetry display, and a tribute to media personalities included in the cultural festival organized by the Journalists Union branch in Lattakia at the Al-Assad House of Culture, in celebration of the October holidays.

In a speech during the opening of the festival, Ibrahim Shaban, head of the Union of Journalists branch in Lattakia, explained that the event aims to highlight the efforts and energies of journalists who spent decades in Her Majesty's arms, during which they were a voice of truth and a mirror of reality, touching people's pains and concerns and defending them.

A member of the leadership of the Arab Socialist Baath Party branch, Dr. Issam Darwish, confirmed that journalists in Syria were and still are the voice of truth, and a key partner in victory over the conspiracies that targeted the homeland, and they made many sacrifices in order to uphold the banner of truth.

The exhibition of fine art featured 20 works of art by nine artists. The journalist, Iyad Nasser, participated in three paintings featuring the Arabic letter, using colorful abstractions.

The artist Hassan Halabi, a member of the Syrian Artists Syndicate, was inspired by the idea of ​​his olive wood work from the world of women, trying to embody women's spaces and penetrate their private worlds and dreams.

In the poetic event, a number of poets, journalists and media figures presented extracts from their writings and poetry, in which they addressed the homeland, love and humanity, including Dr. Malik Al-Rifai, Haitham Bishani, Ali Tarraf and Naim Ali Mia, followed by pieces of music on the violin by the engineer Adnan Bitar, while the journalist Sajia Korkmaz read the famous With his love for Ugarit, he wrote a short story entitled (Ghasa), in which he talked about the heroic martyr Gul Jamal, and through it he wanted to glorify the heroism and sacrifices of the Syrian man.

The event witnessed honoring personalities from various print, audio and visual media institutions as a station of thanks and gratitude for their efforts and giving in the field of journalism.
