Langenfeld: Mercedes races through a residential area – the driver flees

According to the police, the approximately 18 to 23-year-old man was traveling at high speed in a black Mercedes on the Isarweg in Langenfeld at around 7:25 a.m. when he lost control of his car.

For reasons that are still unclear, the driver suddenly lost control of the A-Class and crashed his car into a Kia Picanto parked on the side of the road.

The force of the impact pushed the Kia into a VW Up standing in front of it, which in turn was pushed into a Ford Puma parked in front of it.

A witness immediately rushed to help the possibly injured driver.

The young man got out of his car and told the witness that he was unharmed.

Instead of waiting for the alerted police, the young man fled and ran towards Langenfeld S-Bahn station.

The police are now looking for the driver.

In October, after an accident, a driver also wanted to hide from the police in the Mettmann district – but the officers discovered him in the trunk of his Audi.

The Mercedes, Kia and VW were so badly damaged in the accident that they were totaled.

The cars were no longer drivable and had to be towed away.

The police estimate the damage at several 10,000 euros.
