With the participation of 18 women, the activities of the exhibition “The Effect of a Butterfly That Never Misses” for handicrafts and products was launched today, which is being held by the Al-Ihsan Charitable Development Association, in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund, at the Al-Adiyat Association in Aleppo for two days.

The exhibition includes types of handicrafts, embroideries, painting on pottery and ceramics, itamines, beadwork, food, pastries, and sweets that the Aleppian cuisine is famous for.

The director of the Women's Support and Empowerment Center at the association, Hala Mohi El-Din, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the exhibition comes on the occasion of the 16-day campaign to combat gender-based violence, pointing out that the association is working to hold vocational training courses in various manual professions for the participating women, in addition to courses in marketing skills and encourage them to enter the labor market.

The exhibition supervisor, Alaa Maarstawi, stated that the exhibition is the culmination of the sessions held in the association, and work is being done to secure different professions for women, improve their practical skills, and enable them to implement their own projects.

Participant Hala Serafi indicated that the exhibition is an opportunity to promote her work and enhance her self-confidence, and to present her products of various types of accessories made from simple tools, while Qamar Hakki indicated her passion for making innovative handmade products and her participation in the exhibition by presenting products of pottery painting.

Faten Gawish also expressed her happiness to benefit from the training courses she underwent in the field of sewing, which contributed to the development of her practical skills.
