Today, the Egyptian Ministry of Health announced the registration of the first case of monkeypox in the country.
The Egyptian website, Al-Youm Al-Sabea, quoted the ministry as saying in a statement: “The first injury was detected for an Egyptian citizen at the age of 39, and preventive measures are taken towards the injured person and his contacts, and the patient is transferred to receive treatment in one of the hospitals affiliated with the ministry,” noting that the general health condition of the patient is stable. .
The World Health Organization reported that more than 81,000 confirmed cases of monkeypox, including 55 deaths, have been recorded in 110 countries since the beginning of this year.
