Another stormy day in the Knesset:
a special committee chaired by MK Shlomo Karai discussed this morning (Thursday) the proposal to amend the Basic Law of the Government, known as the "Deri Law".
MK Karib claimed in the committee that "it is ridiculous to claim that there is no connection between the bill and the twice-convicted criminal MK Aryeh Deri. Yesterday there was confusion here as if it was some kind of theoretical change that is not entirely directed towards a specific coalition agreement."

In the meantime, Avner Gavrihu, CEO of "Breaking the Silence" began to speak, MK Hanoch Milbitsky shouted at him "Shut up. He's a traitor! He's a traitor! "He's a despicable criminal who should be in prison."
"We will not allow you to keep your mouth shut," MK Karib replied to him. "You will not shut up the citizens of Israel."
"Shut up, you wretch. Traitor, bitter and disgusting," added MK Milavitsky who once again lashed out at Gavrihu's words.

As I recall, yesterday (Wednesday), at the committee's opening hearing, an unusual incident occurred. MK Michal Shir was outraged by the words of Adv. Maor, and shouted at him: "Take the hat off your head when you say these things."
A song of outrage after Attorney Maor claimed that "the results of the elections led to a clear statement - it is the will of the public that determines, not of officials and judges without elected officials."
