In an interview with Le Monde, the deputy for Seine-Saint-Denis deplores “a process that does not play a collective role”.

LFI's new management continues to cause a stir.

Sentenced to a four-month suspended prison sentence for domestic violence, Adrien Quatennens was definitively removed from the head of the Insoumis movement.

In his place, Manuel Bompard, very close to Jean-Luc Mélenchon, was chosen to take over.

However, certain executives of La France Insoumise were immediately set aside: François Ruffin, Clémentine Autain, Éric Coquerel or even Alexis Corbière.

An eviction that the latter does not appreciate, to the point of being moved by it publicly in an interview with

Le Monde

where he reports “

an unsatisfactory situation

”.

In any case, I have a radical disagreement with the result, the consequence of a process that does not play a collective role, does not associate activists enough and does not integrate the different sensibilities of our movement which are embodied in certain “ personalities”, as they say

”, deplores the deputy of Seine-Saint-Denis.

Alexis Corbière specifies that “

(his) problem does not relate to the absence of such and such

”.

The elected member of Nupes says he regrets a lack of "

social parity

" within the management and calls for "

leaders from rural areas, working-class neighborhoods, union activists, associations and above all from the working classes

".

Also he assures that François Ruffin and Clémentine Autain “

say stimulating things

”.

All these strong temperaments, and more, must be found in a thinking management team.

A "call for appeasement"

After having launched “

a call for appeasement

” and “

unity

”, the deputy “

asks for an explanation

” to “

overcome the moments of tension

”.

Asked whether he wants to be among the members of the management of LFI, Alexis Corbière replies: “

If my person is a problem, I am not a candidate.

“While specifying however:”

I am a republican, social, ecological, attached to authentic emancipatory secularism (…) I wish that this current of ideas exists more clearly in this new management team.

To the "

obligation of absolute discretion

" required, according to Jean-Luc Mélenchon, to be among those of the management, Alexis Corbière replies: "

The only discipline I know in politics is the discipline of consciences, not that of armies.

“And the Ile-de-France announce that a”

working group of voluntary deputies, of different sensitivities

“has been set up and that”

proposals will be made about this new direction

“.
