On the surface, neither the time-worn wood nor the chipped roughcast suggests that Atelier 11, nestled at the end of rue Falguière, in the Montparnasse district of Paris (15th century), once housed renowned artists.
It is only by getting closer to the facade that we can see in red letters: “In this studio lived the painter Chaïm Soutine” (1893-1943).
