A magnitude 6.2 earthquake was detected on Monday morning off the coast of the Indonesian island of Sumatra, the USGS Seismological Institute reported.
The earthquake's epicenter is located about 48 kilometers south-southeast of the city of Singkil, in the Indonesian province of Aceh, at a depth of 37 kilometers, the USGS said.
No casualties or damage were immediately reported, according to the Indonesian Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).
