Tartous-SANA
Today, the activities of the “We Play and Learn 2” workshops, organized by the Directorate of Culture in Tartous and the Arab Cultural Center, in cooperation with the Nagham Wa Qalam Center and the Childhood Library, were concluded with a diverse artistic and literary ceremony that included a presentation of the products of those workshops.
The ceremony included purposeful theatrical performances, a folk art segment, clips from the shadow play theater, paragraphs on early childhood, speed reading, photography and puppet making, in addition to an art exhibition of the drawings of the children participating in the drawing workshop.
Mona Asaad, head of the Arab Cultural Center and Nagham Wa Qalam Center, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the ceremony is the culmination of intensive educational training workshops that were presented to children during the midterm holiday, accompanied by dialogue sessions with parents to find out their proposals and introduce the tendencies and talents of their children to enhance the integrative role of creating meaningful cultural content.
She pointed out that these workshops continue to provide information and benefit to children until after the midterm holiday, in proportion to school hours.
Hassan Nasr, the director of the theatrical play “The Lost,” believed that involving children in writing the text is of special importance, as it works to discover their talents in writing, and to choose topics that suit their ideas and orientations.
