Only twenty-two days after his enthronement, the Benyamin Netanyahu government has its first storm warning.
The Israeli Supreme Court has ordered the dismissal of Arieh Deri, the Minister of Interior and Health, its main and staunch ally.
The majority is now looking for a parade to this new episode of the showdown initiated by Benyamin Netanyahu against the judges of the high judicial body.
It all came down to Wednesday when 10 of the 11 Supreme Court justices struck down Arieh Deri's nomination.
They said the leader of Shass, an ultra-Orthodox party representing religious Jews of Eastern origin, who was given a one-year suspended prison sentence last year for tax evasion, could not be minister.
In order to avoid a heavier sentence, Arieh Deri had hinted during the hearings that he would leave politics.
A commitment that he hastened to trample underfoot.
