yesterday (Saturday) a civil security officer eliminated a terrorist who had infiltrated the settlement of Kedumim in Yosh and tried to carry out an attack. Today the moments leading up to the dramatic foiling are published.
Last night at 11:50 p.m. a Kedumim operator detected suspicious movement near the Tsefnet neighborhood.
The dispatcher directed the settlement's security patrol to the scene.
The patrol spotted a terrorist armed with a gun trying to enter the settlement, rowed into contact, shot at him and killed him.
Following the intrusion, the residents of the settlement were asked to enter their homes, lock doors and close windows until after the security forces had finished scanning and making sure the settlement was protected.
Head of the Kedumim Council Hananal Dorni: "I praise the activity of the security forces in Kedumim for their operational vigilance, contact penetration and professionalism. The proactive activity and courage of the ranger saved lives."
