A 23-year-old German-Iraqi girl is suspected, with the help of an accomplice, of having killed a young woman resembling her in Germany to fake her own death and “disappear due to family problems”, police said Bavarian.
Disorder identification
On August 16, 2022, the body of a 23-year-old woman, stabbed with a knife, was found in a vehicle in Ingolstadt (Bavaria, south).
Investigators initially believe the victim is the owner of the vehicle, as her family claimed to recognize her.
But the next day, after an autopsy, it turns out that the victim is another woman and that the false death is indeed alive.

During their investigation, the police in Ingolstadt pulled the threads of what could be a macabre machination developed by the young woman, helped by an accomplice, a Kosovar also 23 years old.
The two suspects have been in pre-trial detention since last August.
A macabre plot
"Investigators are assuming the suspect wanted to disappear due to family issues and fake her death," local police said on Monday.
They would have thus "decided to search online for a woman resembling the German-Iraqi woman, to kill her and to place her in such a way that the body is taken for that of the suspect", describe the police.
The young suspect would have made contact, before the murder, with several potential targets “who looked like her, via several social network accounts, to encourage them to meet her by making them false promises”.
She thus had, according to the police, contact with several young women.
An appointment is made with one of them, the future victim, for August 16.
According to an investigator quoted by the daily Süddeutsche Zeitung, she looked “unmistakably” like the suspect, with long brown hair, a dark complexion and a heavily made-up face.
The suspect would then have gone with her alleged accomplice to the Heilbronn region (south) “to pick up the future victim at her home”.
On the way back, the victim was lured out of the vehicle and killed in the forest "by a multitude" of stab wounds.
The alleged perpetrators then continued on to Ingolstadt, where the body was found on the evening of August 16, lying in the vehicle.
