The Jableh City Council allocated two sports halls in Al-Baath Stadium in Jableh to accommodate those affected by the earthquake.
The head of the council, Ahmed Qandil, said in a statement to SANA reporter that blankets, mattresses and foodstuffs were distributed to the affected people.
In turn, the director of the Awqaf Department, Hamdi Dannoura in Jableh, stated that the administrative committees in the mosques rushed to secure shelter for more than 2,000 people, including children, women, and the elderly.
