The Syrian embassy in the Czech capital, Prague, called on Syrian citizens residing in the Czech Republic, expatriate figures and Arab communities to contribute and extend a helping hand to mitigate the effects and repercussions of the earthquake that struck Syria the day before.
The embassy said: Providing assistance represents the embodiment of national unity among the people of one country, noting that the doors of the embassy were opened to those wishing to donate at its headquarters.
Many Syrian embassies have called on members of expatriate communities and activities to donate, to help those affected by the earthquake, which resulted in hundreds of victims.
