Terrorism in Jerusalem - Arrests in East Jerusalem:
The terrorist who carried out the murderous attack in Jerusalem today (Friday), 30-year-old Hossein Karakeh, lived in the Issawiya neighborhood in East Jerusalem in recent years with his wife and three children.
In the attack, two people were killed and five others were injured.
The security forces acted today after the attack in Issawiya and arrested several of his family members and associates.
Among the detainees: his parents, his brother, his wife and the person who rented the house where he lived to the terrorist.
The suspects were taken to the police for questioning.
As part of the investigation imposed by the Jerusalem district commander on the central unit of the Jerusalem district, the police will check the connection of the terrorist's relatives who were arrested for the attack and whether they knew about the terrorist's intentions.

In the neighborhood of the terrorist's residence, they claimed that Karaka was not mentally healthy and that he suffered from physical and mental problems.
"Recently, he received mental health treatment at a medical center in the Netanya area," said an official in the cave village in detail.
Tosha in a village in the neighborhood where he lives said: "Karake was injured in an accident while working on a crane, and since then he began to suffer from memory disturbances and to take medication," adding that Karake was under medical supervision and that "it is not certain that he was fit to drive a car."
The terrorist's parents live in the Ator neighborhood in East Jerusalem.
His father is originally from the Daisha refugee camp near Bethlehem, and his mother is from Jerusalem.
The terrorist's uncles opened a funeral home in the camp after the attack.

The landlord who rented the apartment to the terrorist complained about the intention to seal it.
From the documents of the apartment rental contract that reached Israel Hayom, it appears that the terrorist Karake has lived in the rented apartment for the past three years.
The owner of the building, Ahmed Nasser, said that Karaka lived on the first floor with his wife and three children, in a two-room apartment.

"If I suspected for one moment that he was going to do something bad, I would immediately take him out of the apartment, I would not leave him for even a minute. Amr Atiya, one of the dignitaries of the village of Issawiya, commented on Minister Itamar Ben Gabir's statement that he intends to order the opening of Operation Protective Wall 2 and said that such a move would set fire to all of Jerusalem and would also spread into the cities of Israel.
"East Jerusalem is an inseparable part of the State of Israel, what is this talk? It will do the opposite and lead to a worse result. I hope that your security officials will not let him do this," he told Israel Hayom.

A picture of Karaka was seen on social media next to Nizar Banat, a political activist of the Popular Front organization, who died about a year and a half ago during a brutal arrest carried out by the thwarted security forces of the Palestinian security apparatus.
