Damascus, SANA-

University students, in coordination with the National Union of Syrian Students, provide whatever capabilities they have to help transport relief aid that comes to Damascus International Airport, in order to deliver it to those affected by the earthquake that hit Syria.

Union representative Radwan Al-Sayed from the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering “Al-Hamak” said: “The students of the college formed voluntary teams in coordination with the Students’ Union to help deliver and transport aid and unload it from planes to send it to the affected areas, as part of what is entrusted to the role of the nation’s youth during crises and disasters.

He referred to the role of young people who contributed on social media in calling on the international community to break the siege and lift the sanctions imposed on Syria.

As for Yanal Kreidi, a design engineering student, he confirmed that from the first moment of the disaster, he expressed his willingness to volunteer, like his fellow Syrian students, as tasks were distributed directly between contributing to relief work in the affected areas and helping to transport materials to support all those affected by the earthquake.

In turn, Adel Ammar Kaddah, an energy engineering student, said: “We are going through a difficult crisis, and we are a generation that grew up in the terrorist war and we were subjected to great pressures, but it did not discourage our resolve, our will, and our persistence in steadfastness and giving, and to provide everything possible for our people, especially in this disaster that befell the country.
