Two falling cases occurred in Sha Tin tonight (14th).
At 9:13 p.m., the police received a report from security guards at Ming Yiu House, Yet Ming Estate, and found a man in his 40s lying on the ground opposite the parking lot. He was suspected of falling from a height and was confirmed dead at the scene.
About an hour later, at 10:17, the police received a report from a woman saying that her 38-year-old girlfriend had revealed her intention to seek death earlier, and then lost contact with her friend. She jumped down from a residential building and lay down on the platform of Guangbai Building, Block 3, Guangyuan Village. She was unconscious and sent to the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin for emergency treatment.
Police did not seize a suicide note, but believe the victim was troubled by family problems.
