According to the document, the former president would have been inoculated on July 19, 2021. They are investigating the veracity of the medical certificate.

The Brazilian government affirmed this Friday that there is a

vaccination record against the coronavirus of former President Jair Bolsonaro

in the Ministry of Health system , who during the pandemic declared himself anti-vaccination and even campaigned against the effectiveness of immunization.

The information was confirmed by the Minister of the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU), Vinicius de Carvalho, although he clarified that

the veracity of these documents is still being determined

.

Specifically, it is investigating whether there was any alteration in the Unified Health System (SUS) vaccination booklet.

For that, they will investigate the person responsible for making said record and the person who allegedly applied the vaccine.

"

The registry exists

, this is what we know. There is a letter within the CGU with information passed by the Ministry of Health," the official said.

According to the document, the former president would have received the single dose of Janssen on

July 19, 2021

, in a first aid room in Perus, north of São Paulo.

The day before, he had been discharged after spending four days hospitalized for a gastric obstruction at the Nova Star private hospital.

The truth is that Bolsonaro maintained that he was never vaccinated against the coronavirus and

imposed a 100-year secret on his medical document

, while demanding privacy.

On June 18, 2021, a month before the date on which he would have inoculated, he made a live broadcast to insist that he would be "the last person" to be vaccinated in Brazil: "I am setting an example. After the last

person get vaccinated, I'll get vaccinated

."

The president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, once again attacked coronavirus vaccines.

On that occasion, he remarked that

getting the disease is "more effective" than injecting the drug

: "All those who contracted the virus are vaccinated, even more effectively than the vaccine itself, because they really contracted the virus."

The former president has been in the United States since December 30, when he left Brazil two days before the end of his term.

Days ago, he announced to the Wall Street Journal that he was preparing his return to the country in March to lead the opposition right to the Lula da Silva government.

They investigate a former Minister of Health of Brazil

The Comptroller General of the Union announced that the Army will lift in 10 days the 100-year secret of the disciplinary process opened to retired General

Eduardo Pazuello

, the

controversial former Minister of Health of Bolsonaro

who was responsible when the crisis occurred due to the lack of oxygen in the hospitals of Manaus, Amazonas state, at the beginning of 2021.

The open process against Pazuello dates from May 2021, when he had ceased to be a minister but was still an active Army general.

Although he was prohibited by his position, he participated in a party event outside of President Bolsonaro's official agenda.

Since the first decrees of January 1, Lula's government determined the lifting of all the

100-year-old secrets

determined by Bolsonaro to various government actions, including the guest book at the presidential residence on the guests of former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro.
