A new community center will be built for the southern neighborhoods of Ness Ziona - according to the plan, the new center of approximately 1500 square meters will be built on Saadia Nahum St., in a central location with easy access from the three neighborhoods. The center will be a home for community activities and will contain spaces for leisure activities , classes, and will also include a branch of the municipal library. The future of the building will also be a center for youth movements, where another branch of the scout movement will operate.
Construction is expected to begin as early as the beginning of 2024, on a total area of about 7 dunams, surrounded by green areas and to include in the first stage one floor. The modern building, which is designed by Rosen Linenberg Architects, will be built according to green construction standards and meet the strict accessibility standards.
The cost of the project is about NIS 12 million, and the construction is planned to take about a year.
As mentioned, the new community center will initially include one floor.
The planning allows for the late construction of an additional floor that can include a wide assembly hall.
The plan will be presented in detail to city council members at the next city council meeting.

Over 7000 residents live in the neighborhoods of Hamek, Kfar Aharon and Tirat Shalom.
A wonderful community was forged in the south of the city: families, young children, youth and adults.
Today the classes are held in a building that used to be a model apartment for a contractor, it is small and not adapted to the evolving needs of the neighborhoods.
About a year ago we opened a youth club for the residents in a closed kindergarten building.
The community department made sure to turn the place into a warm and pleasant home, but there is no doubt that this is a temporary solution and does not meet the growing needs of the community.
We will continue to act quickly and efficiently, with the intention that at the beginning of 2025, the center will be available and used by the community.
