At the same time, an expert on Iran affairs, Saleh Hamid, told Al-Hadath website that one of the targets of the attack may be close to the village of Kondor, on the outskirts of Karaj, and includes a facility for the production and development of drones. "The estimated scenario is that the attack was against a unit for the production and development of drones , according to eyewitnesses, videos and photos," the expert said in an interview.

keep denying

Official Iranian media denied last night that any attack took place in the city of Karaj, which is west of Tehran.

An official source said at the time that this was allegedly an exercise designed to improve the level of preparedness and coordination of the bodies in emergency situations.

According to the Iranian news agency, the activation of the air defense systems, along with the sounds of explosions and gunfire, were part of the exercise.

About a month ago, another attack took place in the city of Isfahan in southern Iran.

Senior military officials in the country later told the "Tasnim" news agency that drones attacked a military site in the city, after being smuggled into Iran by the Kurdish underground in an operation organized by a "Zionist spy".

At the same time, sources told the American newspaper "Wall Street Journal" that the facility that was attacked in Isfahan was an advanced weapons production complex and that the attack was carried out by drones by the Mossad. The sources added that the operation was intended to damage the compound of the Iranian Ministry of Defense and emphasized that Four "accurate" hits were made.
