Today, the Iranian Radio and Television Corporation in Tehran held the first conference to honor the martyrs of the resistance media, with the participation of delegations from Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine, Yemen, Afghanistan and Iran, under the auspices of the Iranian Martyr Foundation and the Islamic Radio and Television Union.
The commander of the Quds Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Brigadier General Ismail Qaani, stressed in a speech to the conference that “the martyrs of the media played an important role in the battlefields alongside the armed forces, and they conveyed the facts that the enemies have always tried to obscure,” stressing the importance of the media’s role and strengthening it in championing the issues of the axis of resistance. .
For his part, Assistant to the Iranian President and Chairman of the Martyr Foundation, Dr. Amir Hossein Qazizadeh Hashemi, noted the importance of perpetuating the concept of martyrdom in the awareness of the masses.
In turn, the head of the Union of Islamic Radios and Televisions, Sheikh Ali Karimian, pointed to the importance of the role of the media and media professionals in conveying the facts, and said: “Honoring the families of the martyrs of the resistance media is a small part of the response of gratitude for the sacrifice they made.”
In a speech before the conference, Assistant Minister of Information Ahmed Dhawa considered that this honor is an “appreciation of the value of martyrdom, which is the value of values,” stressing the need to strengthen cooperation between the resistance media to expose the lies and Western media propaganda aimed at distorting the facts in the region.
Dhawa thanked the Iranian people and all the peoples who took the initiative and provided humanitarian assistance to the Syrian people after the devastating earthquake that struck Syria recently.
The Assistant Minister of Information also saluted the souls of all the martyrs of the resistance media who accompanied the Syrian Arab Army in its confrontation with the terrorist organizations, and sacrificed their lives to uphold the word of truth and the truth, and convey the achievements of the army and its defeat of terrorism supported by Western countries.
Participants from Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine, Yemen and Afghanistan stressed in their words the importance of martyrdom and promoting its culture to support the causes of the region, considering that honoring the families of media martyrs is a promotion of the culture of steadfastness and resistance.
The conference concluded with the distribution of honorary shields to the media institutions in the participating countries, while our colleague Ahmed Hamada, editor-in-chief of Al-Thawra newspaper, received the honorary shield for media martyrs in Syria.
The conference was attended by the Syrian Ambassador in Tehran, Dr. Shafiq Dayoub, a number of Iranian officials and the families of the martyrs from the participating countries.
