On Wednesday, March 8, they will meet at the expo to discuss Proposals to promote agribusiness. That women have a fundamental role in all communities is not new; especially in recent years, where -at least in our country- there has been an advance in social awareness about the spaces occupied by women. That women have a fundamental role in all communities is not new;

especially in recent years, where -at least in our country- there has been an advance in social awareness about the spaces occupied by women.

Likewise, the work carried out in the agricultural world is not new either: cabañeras, agronomists, contractors and technicians, to mention just a few.

And that it is not new, does not mean that it is not relevant, quite the contrary.

This is why

Expoagro 2023 YPF Agro edition

will be the stage, once again, for the agricultural women who lead the way.

In this sense, the Agricultural Engineer María Beatriz "Pilu" Giraudo, co-founder of "Red Mujeres Rurales", anticipated one of the topics that they will be developing: "In addition to presenting our annual agenda, the presence of Red Mujeres Rurales in Expoagro has to

do

with with the situation we are experiencing, with the extreme drought, and with highlighting climate change and the need to generate resilience, seeking and offering tools to help us navigate it”.

Full time

Next Wednesday, March 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In the open-air Agripay Amphitheater, “Women at Expoagro – Proposals to promote agribusiness”

will be held

, with journalist Ani Kuper as presenter.

The day will begin at 11 a.m.

with the panel “Agro y Cambio Climático”, by the Red Mujeres Rurales.

There, topics such as silvopastoral forestry production, traceability and sustainability in extensive crops, diversification in coverage against climate risks, and training of the new generation of professionals will be addressed.

Giraudo expanded on some of these issues and explained that they will share integrated production systems, "such as a silvopastoral livestock system, where forestry is protected and at the same time generates value with an activity such as livestock", adding: "We will be sharing the the role of agtech, related not only to keeping data and records to improve knowledge of everything we do;

but also to evaluate practices and management that allow us to access carbon credit markets and green markets as well”.

The specialists that will make up this panel are: Margarita Melo, Rincón de Corrientes Director – RMR* – Marianne;

Diego Hotter, co-founder and CEO Ucrop it;

Sarah Dingle, Executive Director Ceibos Group;

Lucas Amadeo, Agronomist, founder of Jornaderos Agro;

and Camila Petignat, The Yield Lab and RMR*.

Giraudo added that: “A pending debt in the country is multi-risk insurance;

what happens in other countries;

What opportunities do we have and what other tools to diversify and mitigate risk can we count on”, topics that will be developed in his panel.

At 12 o'clock

“Experiences in the Industry”

arrives

, organized by Mujeres y Caucho.

Where Patricia Malnati, from Jomsalva;

and Carina Bolis, from Bustinza Goma SA, will be speaking about their commitment to the Argentine industry and to inclusion.

To expand on this topic, at 12:30 p.m., the Agricultural Engineer Patricia Spat will give a talk on "Labor Inclusion, from Romanticism to Action", who anticipated that "Having inclusive spaces today is good business.

We increasingly need to have more talent and retain it.

Regardless of what color skin you have, where you come from, whether you are a woman or a man, we have to think about having the best.

And I always use the soccer player selectors as an example.

They are the best example that they don't care where they come from."

Finally, at 2:00 p.m.

The conference will close at the Tecnódromo, a space where the latest innovations and technologies in agricultural machinery will be displayed.
