Uncomfortable weather awaits us in Germany on Tuesday.

The DWD warns in the morning for all of Germany.

Munich – On Monday, spring fever came up in large parts of Germany.

Pleasant temperatures and sunshine could be enjoyed outdoors.

However, the uncomfortable March weather is already back on Tuesday.

It's going to be stormy, cold and wet - almost across the country.

According to the German Weather Service (DWD), the background is a “distinctive cold front” that crosses Germany from west to east.

"Behind it, significantly colder air masses of polar origin flow in," says the DWD warning report.

Weather expert Dominik Jung from wetter.net is also expecting a mix of clouds, sun, wind and rain

.

Weather forecast: DWD warns for all of Germany

The DWD warns of striking weather throughout Germany on Tuesday morning.

Accordingly, the entire weather map is colored orange - standing for warning level two.

The severe weather warning applies in northern Germany from 9 a.m. in the morning, in the middle and in the south from 12 p.m. or 2 p.m.

There is a warning of gusts of wind, which vary in strength in some areas.

From strong to stormy gusts (55 to 75 km/h) to individual gusts of wind (up to 85 km/h) to severe gusts of wind (up to 100 km/h), everything is included - for example "in the foothills of the Alps to Munich".

Hurricane-like gusts of up to 115 km/h can also occur on individual mountain peaks.

Stormy gusts and gusts of wind from north-western directions are possible on the North Sea, writes the weather service.

In the course of the day, according to the DWD, there could also be "shower-like increased precipitation".

In the western and central low mountain ranges as well as in the Harz Mountains, the first snow showers can be expected from the afternoon.

There will be frost, ice and sometimes snow on Wednesday night.

The temperatures for Tuesday look accordingly: The maximum values range from eight degrees in the north-west to 16 degrees in the east.

It's supposed to get cooler in the afternoon.

The weather for the rest of the week: trend gives hope for spring

The mild temperatures on Monday were apparently only a first small foretaste.

The coming days could quickly make you forget this.

But according to the experts from Offenbach, the rest of the week will not be quite as uncomfortable as it should be in Germany on Tuesday.

"Spring is in the mood and tries again and again," Jung summed up appropriately on Monday, looking at the weather conditions.

However, he still has a hard time against the cold air from northern Europe, said the meteorologist.

In any case, spring is making another attempt this week.

According to the DWD, the temperatures will increase from Wednesday onwards, so that on Friday (March 17) in many places the winter jackets can be exchanged for spring jackets again.

An overview:

  • Wednesday, March 15:

Temperature maximums range from 3 to 9 degrees.

Sleet, sleet and sleet are possible in the central and northern regions.

  • Thursday March 16

: maximum temperatures between 6 and 16 degrees.

There may be precipitation in the northwest.

Strong to exposed stormy gusts are again possible at higher altitudes and by the sea.

  • Friday, March 17:

Temperatures range from 11 to 23 degrees.

A little rain and lots of sunshine is in sight.
