Fuel shortage: half of the stations affected in Loire-Atlantique

With 53.37% of stations short of at least one fuel, it is the most affected department in the country, according to data from the government fuel price website.


First place goes to Loire-Atlantique.

This Thursday morning, the department is the most affected by the fuel shortage caused by the demonstrations and blockages as part of the protest against the pension reform.

More than half of the service stations (53.37%) are affected by shortages of at least one fuel, according to data from the government site which lists fuel prices.

The Donges refinery which is located in this territory - it is located near Saint-Nazaire - has ceased its fuel shipments since March 7th.

Tuesday morning, the police intervened to unblock the SFDM oil depot located in the same town.

Neighboring departments affected

Nationally, one in six stations find themselves in the same situation.

The west of France is particularly affected.

In Morbihan, Ille-et-Vilaine, Mayenne and Maine-et-Loire, more than 40% of stations are short of at least one fuel.

It is then the south of France which is the most impacted.

In Bouches-du-Rhône and Aude, there too, more than 40% of stations lack at least one fuel.

Nationally, 15.14% of service stations were, this Thursday morning at 9 a.m., in shortage of gasoline or diesel.

Approximately, 7.65% of the stations are dry of both fuels.
