A man from Geretsried drives his Toyota around several warning lights and beacons, gets help from a witness and then disappears.
- An 82-year-old driver will soon have to answer in criminal proceedings for hit-and-run.
The Geretsrieder was driving his Toyota Corolla on the state road 2369 from the Tattenkofener Bridge in the direction of the cemetery crossing in Geretsried shortly before 5 p.m. on Saturday.
The man obviously overlooked the fact that the state road is currently completely closed in both directions shortly after the junction with Jeschkenstraße due to construction work: he drove into the illuminated barrier without braking.

The Geretsrieder got out of his car and assessed the damage he had caused.
A 43-year-old motorist - who witnessed the accident - also stopped to help the man.
He set up the warning lights and beacons lying around with the uninjured person who caused the accident and assumed that the 82-year-old would reverse his car from the scene of the accident and park it in the Jeschkenstraße junction area and then inform the police.
The 82-year-old thanked his helper, got into his Toyota, drove from the scene of the accident onto Jeschkenstrasse and disappeared.
The 43-year-old witness had the presence of mind to note the license plate number of the Corolla, immediately dialed the emergency number and transmitted the data to the Geretsried police, who then initiated a search.
Patrol officers finally found the person who caused the accident in his apartment.
According to his own statements, the 82-year-old was not aware that he had to fulfill his duties as the cause of the accident and inform the police.
